Catholic Community Foundation Quarterly Report

Dear Friends,

Q4 was busy and joyful at the Foundation as we prepared for Christmas, end of year, and our event.

Happy New Year from all of us at the Catholic Community Foundation!

          Regards,

Building Through Faith: Compassion, Commitment, Community

Our event was held on 1/24/15 and it was glorious. A highlight was the video we produced, which showcases Catholic social presence in Santa Clara Valley. We invite you to view it:

We would like to thank all of our sponsors of the event. Click here to see the full list of sponsors. Their support was pivotal. We also thank the many religious and clergy who worshiped and celebrated with us, including: Bishop McGrath, Bishop Daly, Fr. Michael Engh, S.J., Fr. Michael Weiler, S.J., Sr. Rosalie Pizzo, SNDdeN, and members of the Council of the Religious.

2014 a record year for grants

In 2014 we granted over $1 Million for the first time. The bulk of this was from endowed funds, providing permanent reliable support for Catholic ministry. We seek to grow these funds and add many more for our parishes and schools.

Also, the 2015 Grant Cycle is now open; visit our website to learn more. http://www.cfoscc.org/grants/applicants/

Donor Advised Funds

We added roughly $2.5M in new Donor Advised Funds in 2014. These funds allow donors to exercise their philanthropy through the Foundation, and to receive the maximum tax deduction for their donation. This requires NO NEW GIVING. Please contact us to learn more.
