Welcome to our e-Newsletter
Dear Friends,

The ultimate measure of our work will be the strengthening of Catholic ministries through our grantmaking. These grants are made possible by the establishment and growth of endowments, permanent funds providing Forever Value to these ministries. Please visit our website to learn more about our funds. I hope you will be inspired to support an existing endowment, or create one for your parish or another ministry dear to you.

Regards,

Mary Quilici Aumack
Executive Director

On behalf of the community that will be enriched by their philanthropy, we extend our sincerest gratitude to all of our generous donors!

Faith, Hope and Love: Planning for the Future

In 2015 and beyond, the Foundation seeks to inspire the community to think about personal and spiritual legacies in the context of family values, life lessons and Catholic stewardship.

The Foundation will be offering a series of workshops within the Diocese to assist each of us on our journey of self-reflection and planning for future.  Workshop topics will include: Catholic teachings surrounding the transition of death, family wealth and estate planning, recalling and recording personal legacy and more.

If you are interested in obtaining more information about this workshop series, please contact Anne LeClair at 408.995.5219 x26.

Parish Endowments Grant Financial Security

An endowment serves as a permanent source of funding for the organization in which it is created. Only the earned investment income is ever granted. The capital of the fund is never drawn upon and therefore the endowment is never depleted!

Parish endowments assist our parishes in reducing focus upon monthly Offertory collections and capital campaigns, assist with financial security in times of economic hardship and allow focus to remain on ministry!

Strengthen your parish community by beginning or contributing to its parish endowment today!

Contact us at 408.995.5219 or info@cfoscc.org to get started.

Donor Advised Funds at the Foundation

Have you recently sold your house or experienced a significant one-time taxable event? Do you need to offset capital gains?

If you are seeking the benefits of a charitable tax deduction but are having difficulty determining where you would like to focus your philanthropy, consider establishing a Donor Advised Fund here at the Catholic Community Foundation.

A Donor Advised Fund allows you to make a one-time charitable donation, obtain full tax benefits for the calendar year, and grant from the fund to non-profit organizations at your own pace, with no timing or minimum pay out restrictions.

For more information about Donor Advised Funds, contact our Development and Marketing Program Manager, Anne LeClair, at 408.995.5219 x26.
