Welcome to our e-Newsletter

Dear Friends,

One of the most important goals of our work is to “match” philanthropic intent with effective Catholic Ministry. We know that people are inspired by different things. Buechner said it best: “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”

Please look for our special Christmas e-newsletter, where we will let you know about Catholic activity that is shaping worship communities, and reaching out to those in need. We hope you will be inspired to consider these in your Christmas giving.

As we anticipate a warm Thanksgiving, and the coming of Advent, we wish you joy.

Regards,

Mary Quilici Aumack
Executive Director

Making the Most of your End of Year Giving with Donor Advised Funds

As the end of the year approaches, it is beneficial to consider your charitable contributions in conjunction with your tax planning. We urge you to keep in mind your faith community as you plan.

If you’ve had a significant tax event in 2015, and need to increase your deductions prior to the end of the year, consider beginning a Donor Advised Fund at the Foundation. Our staff will work closely with you to assist you in directing your charity to the causes that matter most to you. Your fund will be professionally invested in adherence with your Catholic values and choosing to partner with us will help provide financial support to Catholic ministry throughout Santa Clara Valley.

Remembering your Parish this Holiday Season

The holiday season is a time for gratitude. This year, we urge you to consider making a gift to your parish that will endure forever. By choosing to donate to an existing parish endowment or by beginning a new endowment fund for your parish, you are giving a gift of Forever Value.

Parish endowments operate to build investment income that exists only to offer financial support to your parish. Capital of the investment is never drawn upon, making the fund a permanent source of income. As time goes on, the fund continues to grow with future donations and investment earnings, making it a gift that will give back for generations to come.

For a list of available funds to donate to, visit our website at www.cfoscc.org/what-we-do/endowments.

To begin a new endowment, contact us at 408.995.5219 or info@cfoscc.org.

Join the Catholic Legacy Society

The Catholic Legacy Society recognizes and celebrates individuals and families who have chosen to remember Catholic organizations in their legacy plans. Most commonly, this is a gift made in an individual’s will but also includes other types of planned gifts, such as retirement plan assets, charitable trusts and life income gifts.

If you have remembered a Catholic organization in your legacy plans, visit our website to register at www.cfoscc.org/join-us/legacy-society, or contact us at 408.995.5219 to learn more.

Consider leaving a single digit percentage of your estate to Catholic ministry!
