The Catholic Community Foundation can be an excellent resource for your clients’ charitable wealth & estate planning.
We help individuals and families with ideas and vehicles so they can execute their philanthropic goals during and after their lifetime. Building relationships with and educating professional advisors (CPAs, Estate Planning Attorneys, Wealth Managers, etc.) are key so that, when appropriate, advisors can direct clients to our Donor Advised Funds, Family Funds (endowed & non-endowed), Family Legacy Plan, and other philanthropic consultation services.
Information For Advisors
What is The Catholic Community Foundation?
The Catholic Community Foundation can be an excellent resource for your clients’ wealth and estate planning. We are a fully functioning community foundation which helps individuals and families with ideas and vehicles so they can execute their philanthropic goals during and after their lifetime. We offer:
Why The Catholic Foundation?
- As a repository of grant requests for the local Catholic community, we can inform donors about effective programs that would benefit from their support
- We partner with Jordan Park, an investment advisory firm in San Francisco, and have a sophisticated investment committee to optimize investment returns
- We offer donors the option to retain a private financial advisor with a gift of ≥$1 million
- We accept complex gifts such as real estate, operating partnership shares, cryptocurrency, etc.
- All funds managed under United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Guidelines
What services do you offer for my clients?
Family Funds
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) offer flexibility in your clients’ charitable giving. We provide information about opportunities to meet needs in our community. Your client moves money to a DAF for an immediate tax deduction and then decides later which charities they wish to support.
Family Endowed & Non-Endowed Funds >
Family Funds allow individuals and families to support the organizations and programs that they love, either permanently or with a custom granting timeline. The Foundation provides family name remembrance with grants, protection of intent, variance power for the donor, and more.
These funds are eligible for QCDs from retirement assets.
Legacy Planning Services
We can be your clients’ partner in defining and implementing a charitable gift through their estate plan. We make donating to charity after one’s lifetime simple for both the advisor and the client. Read more about our Family Legacy Plan to see how our “single beneficiary strategy” works.
Institutional Funds
Designated & Purpose-Driven Funds >
Your clients may donate to an existing fund or create a new fund for a specific organization/program or area of work. These funds are open to donations from the public.
